"Yoga Extras:" Resources for : Fri 3/1-Tue 3/5, 2024

I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"--This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. I am on the schedule as "Erika K." Mention this webpage for a free class.

A question I often hear in my private practice: "What is my purpose?" I find this to be a vital question. When we feel uncertain about what it is we are here for, that energy can morph into that of free-floating confusion, power loss, doubt and anxiety. I myself have felt largely in my purpose for the last, perhaps decade, but what can start to drag my thinking down is my expectation of HOW that is supposed to look. If you resonate with this, see the Rumi card reading below. And, if you are asking that first question, see the Rumi reading below. Other vital (life-giving) questions: am I living my life to please someone or something else? Am I trying to meet the approving eyes of a culture? And if so, what is the ultimate result of that? And is that what I really want/need? I am hoping that class and the resources below will help stir some answers within.

Wishing us all expansion, a little at a time, into greater peace of mind. And with greater peace of mind comes an abundance of health & all else that we need.

Yours on this wild journey with you,

I am sharing with you, below, my very favorite deck of cards. I wouldn't call them tarot because they are not that. But they can be used as such; as a divination tool of sorts, or as a way of seeking guidance when needed and your logical, rational brain doesn't feel like the most appropriate source to consult. I bought this deck for a group of special folks I guided on the last retreat I led in Nepal. The poet/prophet/mystic, Rumi, is said to be one of, if not the, most well-known poet(s) in the world. & I can see why. I happened to pull a card today (2/28; Thursday) & it felt like a card for us. The reading is below. I also added a picture of the name and author of the deck in case you are desiring your own. A good thing is better shared. xo

This dear being below makes a strong additional point about "finding one's purpose." I hope you find it supportive.
