"Yoga Extras" Resources for the week of: Fri 5/12-5/16
I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"--This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see spaceweather.com) & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. I am on the schedule as "Erika K." Mention this webpage for a free class. I teach Friday's 2:30 & 4:30pm, Sundays 6pm, Mondays 7:30 pm, Tuesdays (Power) 4:30 pm.
The physical focus for class this week: To prepare for a peak pose of a forearm wheel, we will be focused on preparing all major muscle groups and joints: those areas that tend to hold emotional stress (hips, shoulders, chest, quads, hams, neck).
The philosophical focus/theme for this week: The Beginner's Mind (described below):
I'm grateful to a friend/teaching colleague for helping to inspire this week's class theme. Thank you, Jessica Long. See the BSY link at the top of the blog to find her on the schedule. She's a wise, deep, smart, caring teacher. <3

I don't know about anyone else, but I know I welcome this reminder. Thank you all for supporting this work. I'd be speaking out into a void without you. ;) Blessings to us all in a world that is going through some major growing pains. May we grow together back to the beginning of ourSelves. With great Love, e. xo
