"Yoga Extras" Resources for the week of: Fri 5/26-5/30

I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"--This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see spaceweather.com) & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. The physical focus for class this week:

Variation2 of large (courageous=heart) expression of a heart/front body opener. Gotta open the whole body to get there.


The philosophical focus/theme for this week:

Spiritual Progress: Put yourself in, & trust, the hands of your own Vital Life Force.


A colleague and I graduated a new group of teachers this week. It's a reminder to me that we are here, among other things of course, for growth. If we take forward moving action in the direction of our own higher guidance system, we thrive. If we cling to the past and old pain, I think of that phrase: "Let go or be dragged." I've done both: I've listened and flourished and I've held on and gotten thrown around on a bumpy ride. Either way, we learn and we WILL, we MUST expand into the higher expression of ourselves. The acorn MUST become the oak tree. The invisible divine blueprint inside of that acorn ensures it will be so. Same with us.
