"Yoga Extras:" Resources for the wk of: Fri 9/15-T 9/19

I am creating these "Yoga Extras" blog posts for those of you resonating with the public yoga classes & Yoga Teacher Trainings I am leading. Inside of these blog posts you will find extra resources that support our weekly class theme. The weekly classes I guide are themed according to the season & collective energetic "weather"--This is of course influenced by many things; for instance, not only national and global events but how masses of people are feeling about and reacting to those events. It is also influenced by space weather (see spaceweather.com) & the current movement/placement of celestial bodies ie: the sun, moon, planets, nodes, stars, etc. You can find me teaching currently at Black Swan Yoga (North-Anderson) in Austin, TX. Physical Focus (Peak Pose): This will be a variation on last week's physical sequence with a smidge more focus on lymph detox. Last week's class description is as follows: "Besides opening/strengthening major areas of the body such as the hips, legs, spine & shoulders, we are focusing on the hands and feet which make up a good deal of the "foundation" of yoga asana (the physical shapes we make with our bodies in a physical yoga practice). If one does not have a strong foundation, one has a weak and precarious "home," vessel, or physical shape."

Philosophical: As per usual we are releasing, releasing, releasing to reveal more and more of the Truth of who we are. As we are releasing we are simultaneously focused on having a new experience in our present moment practice (physical and above physical, or meta-physical). Natural Law states: Ask & it is given. We are asking this week for a new experience with ourselves; our practices, our thinking, our conception of what power is on this planet and within us, our conception of powers greater than ourselves, of our stories, of what role Truth plays in our lives, etc. You name it, we can have a new experience with it.
